Packet Pick-Up

Girls who are currently participating in the program are already registered for the 5K and will receive their 5K materials (bibs, pins, goody bags) the morning of the event. For all other 5K participants (Running Buddies, coaches, family members and community participants), packet pick-up information is as follows:

Frequently Asked Questions

How long will the 5k run take?

Finishing times vary of course, but our fastest runners will complete the run in about 25 minutes. Most runners will fall between 30-45 minutes We will be sweeping the course at one hour from the starting time to ensure all runners have returned to the starting area.

Are there aid stations available?

Water will be available at the start. An aid station will be available on the course. Runners are also encouraged to bring water bottles along on the course. Additional water and snacks will be available at the finish line.

Where should I park?

Official event parking is provided at the Kiwanis Community House.

Can I bring my dog or pet?

For safety, all furry friends are not allowed on the course or at the event, so please leave all pets at home on 5K day! All pets will be asked to return to the pet owner's vehicle if spotted at the event.

This event would not be possible without the help of amazing volunteers who believe in our mission and show up to support our girls. Many volunteers are needed to put on our best 5K yet! Whatever your special skills and talents, we have a role for everyone.

OPPORTUNITIES
Registration

Volunteers will help with 5K registration, assisting pre-registered runners and event day runners. Approximate arrival time 7:45 a.m. Time commitment is 2 to 3 hours. This volunteer opportunity is best suited for individuals over 18 years of age.

Operations

Volunteers will help with logistics and operations. Potential responsibilities include: posting signs, marking course, parking attendants, helping to distribute water to runners, assisting runners at the start line and on the course. Approximate time of arrival is 6:45 a.m - 7:45 a.m. Time commitment is approx 3-4 hours. These volunteer opportunities are best suited for adults, older teens and adult groups.

Hospitality

Volunteers will help greet participants upon arrival and assist coaches with their 5K materials. Assistance will also be needed with runner refreshments and medal distribution at the finish line, and at the information and merchandise tents. Approximate time of arrival is 8:00 a.m. Time commitment is 2-3 hours. This volunteer opportunity is best suited for individuals over 18 years of age.

ACTIVITIES

Volunteers will help with GOTR activities including cheer stations along the course, tiara decorating, face painting, and happy hair. Approximate time of arrival is 7:45 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. Time commitment is 2-3 hours. These volunteer opportunities are great for parents, teens, and group.
